UFC 142 went down in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It wasn't billed as Brazil vs. the world, just as UFC 134 wasn't, but there's no denying the Brazilian flavor of this fight card, either. At UFC 134, Brazil went 10-2.
All 10 fights featured Brazilian fighters, and nine of them won. The lone non-Brazilian to win a fight was Mike Pyle of Dresden, Tennessee. He beat Ricardo Funch of Brazil by first-round TKO, then asked the crowd for their support. They did not oblige.
Overall, Brazil was 9-3, with two of those losses coming against fellow Brazilians. Here's the country breakdown:
Jose Aldo (Brazil) def. Chad Mendes (USA) vio TKO.
Vitor Belfort (Brazil) def. Anthony Johnson (USA) via submission.
Rousimar Palhares (Brazil) def. Mike Massenzio (USA) via submission.
Carlo Prater (Brazil) def. Erick Silva (Brazil) via DQ.
Edson Barboza (Brazil) def. Terry Etim (England) via KO.
Thiago Tavares (Brazil) def. Sam Stout (Canada) via decision.
Gabriel Gonzaga (Brazil) def. Ednaldo Oliveira (Brazil) via submission.
Yuri Alcantara (Brazil) def. Michihiro Omigawa (Japan) via decision.
Mike Pyle (USA) def. Ricardo Funch (Brazil) via TKO.
Felipe Arantes (Brazil) def. Antonio Carvalho (Canada) via decision.
