Just like we expected: There was no way the Ben Henderson-Donald Cerrone rematch would even come close to matching the excitement of the first match last October.
Heck, we didn't even make it out of the first round at WEC 48 in Sacramento.
WEC lightweight champion Henderson got a takedown early and then locked in a guillotine choke to force Cerrone to submit 1:57 into the bout.
"I like the guillotine, what can I say?" Henderson said.
Henderson (12-1) beat Jamie Varner in January via guillotine choke to unify the WEC lightweight championship.
"He's a great fighter, and hey, I slipped and he got it," said Cerrone (11-3).
Despite the huge knot near his right temple from set of Henderson knees and elbows, Cerrone was in good spirits after the bout. Not sure why, since Cerrone is now 0-3 in title fights.
