Sleeper: Jhoulys Chacin

It's really difficult to designate anyone as a sleeper anymore. There's so much information out there including a 24-hour channel on Sirius XM devoted to fantasy sports. I play in leagues so deep and often with experts that I think there are very few sleepers and undervalued may be a better term to use, but I understand not all leagues are the same.

Based on early Average Draft Position (ADP), Jhoulys Chacin of the Rockies is a good sleeper since the price tag isn't high. He made 21 starts last season and had a 3.21 ERA. Chacin displayed excellent control throughout his minor league career, has a good strikeout rate, and induces groundballs.

In his first season in the majors last season, he had a a 9.04 K/9, 4.00 BB/9 and a 46 percent groundball rate in 28 games that included seven relief appearances. Chacin pitched 137 1/3 innings with a 3.28 ERA and a 1.27 WHIP.

Chacin was excellent after the All-Star break with a 2.24 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 58/26 K/BB ratio in 60 1/3 innings. He will go in the second half of drafts and is a bargain.
