Sleeper: Nolan Reimold

It is time for Nolan Reimold to step up and claim the full-time job in leftfield for the Orioles. He impressed in his first look in the majors in 2009. He batted .279 with 15 home runs, 45 RBIs and eight stolen bases in 358 at-bats.
Due to that impressive debut, he became a hot pick in 2010 and failed to deliver. He wasn’t on the fantasy radar in most leagues going into 2011. Reimold began last season in the minors, but came up to the Orioles in May. He didn’t get regular playing time until the final two months.
Reimold wasn’t healthy last season either. He played through an Achilles’ tendon injury and got 267 at-bats, batting .247 with 13 home runs, 45 RBIs, and seven stolen bases.
The outfielder played his best in the final month of the season when he hit .281 with 16 runs, five home runs, 17 RBIs, six stolen bases, and a .973 OPS in 64 at-bats.
Reimold isn’t getting much buzz and he will likely play every day to open the season. He has the ability to get double-digit home runs and steals and come very cheap in drafts.
Reimold was hit in the left side of his head Friday and had a CT scan that came back negative.
