American Clint Dempsey, enjoying the best season of his prolific career overseas, scored two goals against Bolton in a 3-0 victory Saturday to break Fulham's single-season record for league goals scored.

Dempsey, who now has 15 EPL goals this season, broke Louis Saha's record of 13. He has 21 goals in all competitions.

His first goal was a stunner. In the 25th minute, he lined up a free kick from 30 yards away and curled it neatly inside the right post. He knocked in a header in the 45th minute to pad the Cottagers' lead -- and almost scored a a third early in the second half, but his shot from 15 yards out dribbled wide left.

Dempsey's good fortune came at the expense of fellow American Tim Ream, who was starting on defense for the seventh time since joining Bolton from the New York Red Bulls in February.

Dempsey has six more games to add to his total. He is fifth in the EPL in scoring, behind Arsenal’s Robin van Persie (26), Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney (21), Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero (17) and Newcastle’s Demba Ba (16).
