It might be time to rethink that stereotype of the French being grumpy to tourists. A new report from the World Economic Forum ranks Bolivia as the least friendly country for travelers, at least in terms local attitudes toward visitors.

In the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2013, the landlocked South American country gets the cranky honor just above Venezuela and Russia.

The 517-page report looks at the tourism industries of 140 countries in the context of economic growth and job creation. Within the analysis of the competitiveness of the various countries is a grading system for how locals feel about tourists. The seven-point scale puts Iceland as the friendliest, with a 6.8, followed by New Zealand and Morocco.
