Deal: 1 cent hotel rooms

It's no April Fool's Day joke, Red Roof Inn swears. Beginning Wednesday, March 31, the budget-friendly chain is offering some rooms at each of its 350 U.S. hotels for one-cent rates. 

To get the deal, you must stay between April 1 and 15. Rooms-- one per property per night-- will go on sale at noon daily only on redroof.com for the following two nights. The last day to nab a one-cent room is April 13, for stays on April 14 or 15.

Note: Red Roof Inns in New York and Anchorage, Alaska are not participating in the deal.
