Teen arrested for making threat of mass harm at Old Field Middle School, police say
A female Greenlawn middle school student was arrested Friday for making a threat of mass harm at her school, Suffolk County police said.
The unidentified student was arrested by Second Precinct Crime Section officers at 4:30 p.m. at Old Field Middle School on Old Field Road, authorities said.
The teen was charged with threat of mass harm, a misdemeanor.
The student made the “threat of mass harm” on Monday and a school official was notified about the incident Friday afternoon and searched her locker, police said.
The teen will be arraigned in Suffolk County Family Court at a later date.
