Centenarian: Lester Parver of Plainview

LESTER PARVER was born in Brooklyn on March 23, 1924. He worked for the Department of Defense and is proud to have served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Third Army during World War II. Les has been married to Lorraine since 1948, and they have three children. They lived in Dix Hills, then in Arizona for decades, and they currently reside in Plainview. Les is an avid sports fan and enjoys puzzles, reading and watching “Jeopardy!” The couple has four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Les celebrated his birthday with family at a party.
