Sayville jogger seriously injured in hit-and-run

Suffolk County police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured a jogger in Sayville on Saturday.
At around 5:45 a.m., police arrived at the scene near Brook Street and Cherry Avenue to find Michele Walters, 60, lying on the ground.
Emergency responders took her to South Shore Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries, police said.
Detectives were asking for the public's help finding a "vehicle of interest" seen on Brook Street, describing it as a dark-colored SUV with front-end damage.
