just before 11:00 pm three people were injured in an accident where a Suzuki motorcycle collided with a Suzuki XL-7 SUV at Grand Blvd. and Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park. The force of the impact ejected the two people form the motorcycle, a man and a woman through the window and into the back seat of the SUV and rolled it over onto it's side. The bike also burst into flames as a result of the collision. The three people were trapped in the overturned vehicle and were extricated by the Deer Park Fire Dept. by using multiple extrication tools to remove the vehicles roof. The driver of the motorcycle was air lifted by a Suffolk County Police Helicopter to Stony Brook Hospital, his passenger and the driver of the SUV were transported by Deer Park and North Babylon Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Suffolk County Police.
