The Giants signed veteran wide receiver Allen Robinson to their roster on Thursday, the team announced.

Robinson, 30, could fill the team's desire to add a receiver with both size and experience. He is listed at 6-2 and 220 pounds.

The Giants are trying to improve an offense that ranked 31st in passing yards per game last season and had no wide receiver eclipse 770 yards or four touchdowns.

Robinson started all 17 games for the Steelers in 2023, recording 34 receptions for 280 yards. He did not score a touchdown. His season with the Steelers  was the lowest output of his career, aside from an injury-shortened 2017 season. He also averaged a career-low 8.2 yards per reception.

Robinson was released by the Steelers on March 8.

Robinson has 562 career receptions for 7,028 yards and 43 touchdowns in 127 games (122 starts) for the Steelers (2023), Rams (2022), Bears (2018-21) and Jaguars (2014-17).

He joins a receiver group that has been a point of emphasis this offseason. The Giants used their first-round draft pick, sixth overall, on LSU receiver Malik Nabers last month.

The Giants also have Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, Wan’Dale Robinson and Isaiah Hodgins in their current receiver room.

Slayton is the longest-tenured Giant at the position, but he has not been with the team this spring. He has skipped the voluntary workouts as he seeks a contract adjustment or extension.
