Brian Brower hit a walk-off single to leftfield to drive in Shaun Boyle and lead West Islip to a 5-4 win over Comsewogue in Suffolk IV baseball on Friday.

Jake Romeo struck out three and allowed an unearned run in two innings of relief to earn the win. Romeo also went 2-for-4 with an RBI for West Islip (8-3).

Sachem North 4, Lindenhurst 0: Ryan Palm twirled a two-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead Sachem North (10-2) in Suffolk II. Tommy Ford went 1-for-2 with an RBI, double, and a run, and Jack Pitman went 1-for-2 with two runs scored.

SOFTBALL

Farmingdale 3, Bellmore JFK 1: Katie Hecker hit a two-RBI double in the sixth inning for the winning runs for Farmingdale (6-3) in Nassau I. Megan Scott drove in Juliana Abbene in the fourth inning to tie the score. Kiara Kegel pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Long Island Lutheran 10, Stony Brook School 9: Caroline Hoschel scored a free-position goal with 13 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lead Long Island Lutheran (6-2-1) in PSAA.

Kate Ross scored four goals and Madeline Willocks made 10 saves. Mia Trama had four goals and two assists for Stony Brook School (3-3).
