Cops: Man arrested in bank scheme
A Brooklyn man was arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with a scheme in which a total of more than $500,000 was stolen from various banks, police said.
Sameth So, 26, of 19 Woodruff Ave., was charged with four counts of third degree grand larceny, second degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and with first degree scheme to defraud.

So and others were a part of a group that used stolen debit cards to purchase U.S. Postal Service money orders that were then used to obtain cash from banks, Nassau police said. The victimized banks included Bank of America, Capital One, JP Morgan Chase, Citibank and Wells Fargo, police said.
So was arrested in Manhattan at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said, and brought to Nassau to be arraigned Thursday in First District Court, Hempstead.
Previously, other arrests were made in connection with the alleged scheme, police said, and Crimes Against Property Squad officers are continuing their investigation.
