Casey Anthony, the Florida woman acquitted of murdering her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, in 2011 and dubbed "America's most-hated mother" has filed for bankruptcy in Florida.

The bankruptcy petition's list of debts, which reports said totals $792,000, includes $500,000 owed to Anthony's criminal defense lawyer, $222,000 in court-ordered trial costs, investigative expenses and criminal fines related to her convictions, and $69,000 owed to the IRS.

The filing is expected to derail civil suits that have been filed against Anthony, though the attorney representing Zenaida Gonzalez, who alleges she was defamed when Anthony claimed a nanny by that name had kidnapped Caylee, said he would push forward.
