Jason Kidd out for Milwaukee, Ronnie Brewer in

Jason Kidd didn’t make the trip to Milwaukee.

The lower back spasms that kept him out of Monday’s overtime loss to the Nets will keep him out of tomorrow’s game against the Bucks. The Knicks are listing him as day-to-day.

Ronnie Brewer, however, is expected to play.

Brewer dislocated his left ring finger in the closing seconds of the fourth quarter against the Nets. It’s his non-shooting hand.

X-rays were negative so Brewer didn’t break anything. Mike Woodson said on ESPN New York radio that Brewer would tape his finger and play.

Kidd’s leadership and ability to settle down his team were missed in Brooklyn. Offensively, the ball didn’t move as much as it has the prior 12 games. For the first time this season, the Knicks had as many turnovers (14) as assists (14).

The Knicks had a chance to win in regulation, but Carmelo Anthony misfired on a 17-foot pull-up.

The Knicks have to hope Kidd won’t be out too long, though. After tomorrow, they play the Wizards on Friday and the Suns on Sunday.
