Sir Speedy of Westbury, Hauppauge and Melville announced that the company has acquired a Sir Speedy franchise in Syosset.

The family-owned company that provides printing and marketing services closed the deal this week and will add the 20-year-old Syosset operation’s clients to its customer base, said Evan Bloom, co-owner of Sir Speedy of Westbury, Hauppauge and Melville. Clients from the Syosset store will be able to take advantage of his company’s larger capacity and offering of services and products, handled in the Westbury facility, he said.

This acquisition, like previous ones the company has made, “just increases our bottom line because we can increase our client base, and, in most cases, we are not adding extra overhead except for some of the employees to physically produce the work,” Bloom said.

Sir Speedy of Westbury, Hauppauge and Melville continued to increase its client base throughout the recent recession, spending more money on marketing and sales efforts than it did in good times, Bloom said.

“We are coming out of the recession very strong because we never let up during the whole recession,” Bloom said. “Even though sales were down we were increasing our customer base. As things got better and customers started to spend more money, it’s starting to really come around for us.”
