United Veterans Beacon House Inc. in Bay Shore, a nonprofit that provides housing for military veterans, has four new officers and two new members on its board of directors.

Adam Wood of Kings Park, an attorney with Wood & Associates in East Northport, has been appointed chairman.

James Smith of Port Washington, an Army Vietnam veteran and retired Newsday sports reporter and editor in Melville, has been appointed vice president.

Steven Kahane of Dix Hills, director of investments for Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. in Hauppauge, has been appointed treasurer.

Rebecca Joseloff of Patchogue, a retired Army combat medic and now a stay-at-home mom, has been appointed secretary.

John Yancigay of Holtsville, vice president of operations at DiCarlo Food Service in Bohemia, has been appointed to the board.

John-Michael Peters of White Plains, a Merrill Lynch financial adviser in White Plains, has been appointed to the board.
