ACDS in Plainview, which helps those with developmental disabilities, has appointed two new board members.

Barbara M. Lehrer of Roslyn is president and founder of The Beacon Group of New York State.

Dr. Joseph Mazzie of Merrick is attending musculoskeletal radiologist and residency program director at Winthrop-University Hospital's Department of Radiology in Mineola.

HEALTH

Michael Farrell of Sound Beach joined Good Samaritan Hospital's Nutrition and Food Services Department as assistant head chef in West Islip. He served as executive chef at North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue.

Diane Castonguay of Massapequa has been named assistant superintendent for finance and operations at Amityville Union Free School District. She was previously the assistant business administrator and district treasurer for the Jericho School District.
