Long Island hires and promotions: Charles A. Boehlke, Jr., McDaniel College

Charles A. Boehlke, Jr. of Melville has been elected to the board of trustees at McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. He is retired as executive vice president and chief financial officer of MSC Industrial Direct in Melville.

NONPROFITS

Mindy Perlmutter Naiman of East Meadow has joined the Jewish Community Relations Council-LI in Jericho as executive director. She was the director of government relations for Long Island and special projects with UJA-Federation of NY in Syosset. She is a licensed clinical social worker and an adjunct professor at LIU-Post's school of social work in Brookville.

Harbor Child Care, which has six centers, is one of the largest nonprofit organizations on Long Island dedicated to early childhood education, school-age education, and full-day child care, has several promotions and a new hire.

Dr. Arnold Goldberg of Northport was promoted to executive director of Harbor Child Care in New Hyde Park. He was director of human resources at same location.

Abby Grodin of Bay Shore has been hired as director of marketing and development in New Hyde Park. She was the community business development manager at Barnes and Noble in Manhasset.

Maria Izzo of East Meadow has been promoted to director of human resources in New Hyde Park. She was the human resources assistant and assistant center director at the organization's Sea Cliff location.

Jagruti Joshi of Williston Park has been promoted to director of business in New Hyde Park. She was the business office assistant.

Carla Hall of New Hyde Park has been promoted to director of health services in New Hyde Park. She is a nurse who served all six of the centers.

Smita Daniel of New Hyde Park has been promoted to center director in New Hyde Park. She was the assistant center director.

Stacey Tuckman of Kings Park has been promoted to assistant center director at the organization's newest location, in Glen Cove. She was a teacher in Sea Cliff.

Sheila Daniel of Baldwin was promoted to assistant center director in Hempstead. She was a  teacher in Glen Head.

Kristen Beckmann of New Hyde Park was promoted to assistant center director in New Hyde Park. She was a  teacher in the Manhasset center.
