Louis P. Karol of East Williston has become the chair of the Anti-Defamation League New York region's Long Island advisory committee in Manhattan. He is a managing partner at Karol & Sosnik PC in Garden City.

Philip Dickstein of Plainview is the new educational director at the Plainview Jewish Center. He was the principal at Solomon Schechter Jewish Day School in Jericho.
