Long Island hires and promotions: Elizabeth Sy, Ruskin Moscou Faltischek

Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale has hired two first-year associates.

Elizabeth Sy of Ridge is a recent graduate of the Touro College law center in Central Islip and was a summer associate for the firm.

Neeti Sachdev of Hicksville is a recent graduate of Brooklyn Law School and is a Long Island/Queens liaison for the South Asian Bar Association of New York.

Martin E. Valk of Merrick has been hired as an attorney in charge of the tax certiorari unit at Berkman, Henoch, Peterson, Peddy & Fenchel in Garden City. He was bureau chief in assessment litigation at the Nassau County Attorney Office in Mineola.

REAL ESTATE

David Kasner of Lido Beach has been hired as an agent and office manager at Century 21 American Homes in Long Beach. He was managing partner and a realtor at Douglas Elliman in Long Beach.

HEALTH CARE

Vicky Shaw of Plainview has been named administrator of Apex Rehabilitation & Healthcare in South Huntington. She held a similar position at South Point Plaza Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Island Park.
