Suffolk IDA hosts free meet-up for tech start-ups
The Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency will hold a networking event on April 17 in Huntington village for technology startups.
The free event, which runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., will allow the startups to showcase their product or service to each other and potential investors at The Paramount entertainment complex.
To participate, companies should be less than five years old and be involved with technology, software, life sciences, energy, green technology, product development or manufacturing.
The second hour of the event will be open to the general business community.
Before the event, from 5 to 6 p.m., the LaunchPad Huntington coworking space will hold an open house at 315 Main St. in Huntington village.
LaunchPad is sponsoring the IDA event along with Accelerate Long Island, the Long Island Software and Technology Network (LISTnet); LI Tech Comets, Long Island Angel Network and Long Island Capital Alliance.
