Michele Ingrassia Haber, of Roslyn, has been appointed to the board of directors of Literacy Nassau in Freeport. The retired journalist has worked for Newsday, the New York Daily News and Newsweek and has been a volunteer tutor at Literacy Nassau since 2011.
Mark Mulholland, of Bayport, has been elected a member of the Touro Law Center board of governors. He is a managing partner and senior member of the litigation department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale.

David Myers, of Nesconset, has been hired as a blogger and communication skills adviser at Stony Brook University College of Business. He is a consultant at Reality Unlimited in Nesconset.

Dr. Mitchell Chorost, of Old Westbury, has been appointed to direct surgical oncology and co-chair the institutional review board at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center in Roslyn. He directed surgical oncology at New York Hospital in Queens.
Dr. Dustin Kreitzberg, of Dix Hills, has joined Glen R. Kreitzberg DDS in Commack as an associate dentist. He completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.
Rick Turk of Jersey City, New Jersey, has joined Professional Physical Therapy in Uniondale as mergers/acquisitions director. He was vice president at Bruderman Brothers in Locust Valley.

Ryan Gessner, of Coram, has been appointed assistant director at the Middle Country Public Library in Centereach. He had coordinated the computer and technical services unit.

Anthony Montalbano, of Queens, has joined the YMCA in Glen Cove as a senior executive director. He was vice president and executive director at the White Plains YMCA.

Megan E. Lavery, of Huntington Village, has joined Epoch 5 Public Relations in Huntington as account executive. She held a similar job at DKC Public Relations in Manhattan.

Jennifer Williams, of Smithtown, has been promoted from accounting assistant to HR director at Briscoe Protective Systems in Centereach.

Lisa S. Strobing, of Oyster Bay, has joined Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty as a sales manager and associate broker in East Norwich. She was with the Coldwell Banker Bellmarc Group in Manhattan.

Todd Silverstein, of Ronkonkoma, has been promoted from manager to vice president at Woodbury's Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers.
