Cirque du Soleil will bring it's "Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour" to Nassau Coliseum on April 7, 2012. Credit: AP

Cirque du Soleil announced Wednesday that it's bringing "Michael Jackson THE IMMORTAL World Tour" to Nassau Coliseum on April 7, 2012, Newsday's Kevin Amorim reports. According to the Cirque du Soleil website, the show is a fusion of visuals, dance, music and fantasy "that immerses audiences in Michael's creative world and literally turns his signature moves upside down." Tickets go on sale at noon Saturday through Ticketmaster.

Moore to play Palin in 'Game Change'

Julianne Moore ("The Kids Are All Right") is set to play former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in an upcoming TV film, The Associated Press reports. HBO Films said Wednesday that Moore will star in the film "Game Change," which explores some of the drama and personalities behind the 2008 presidential campaign. The movie is based on "Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime," the bestselling 2010 book by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin. No other cast members were announced, and HBO did not say when production on the film might begin.

Sheen issues 'half apology' in interview

Charlie Sheen apologized during a Los Angeles radio interview Wednesday for some of his recent rants, including calling his "Two and a Half Men" co-star Jon Cryer a "troll," People reports. "I was in a mood, and I threw that out there. It's a half apology -- it's an apol!" Sheen also claimed he's been talking to rumored replacement Rob Lowe, who currently stars on NBC's "Parks and Recreation." "He's a buddy of mine, he's a beautiful man, a brilliant actor," he said.
