EW: "Golden Girls" star Betty White to host SNL
Live from New York, it's Betty White?
The former "Golden Girls" star is close to hosting "Saturday Night Live" for the first time as part of a "Women in Comedy" episode, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Other funny ladies who could host alongside White, 88, include former SNL alumnae Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Molly Shannon.
The campaign to persuade SNL creator and producer Lorne Michaels to book White started on Facebook. The group, "Betty White to Host SNL (please?)!" has more than 400,000 fans.
"I don't know where that came from," White told the Los Angeles Times recently. "That came out of leftfield."
White was a hit in this year's Super Bowl commercial for Snickers, which showed her getting tackled during a game.
