Hugh Hefner buys wife Crystal Harris her own home
Playboy-magazine patriarch Hugh Hefner has bought a $5 million mansion for his wife of four months, December 2009 Playmate Crystal Harris.
Hefner, 87, bought the four-bedroom, five-bath, 5,900-square-foot home in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills neighborhood last month, TMZ.com reported Thursday. The mountainside mansion is held in trust for the two, the site said, so that Harris, 27, will be sole owner should Hefner predecease her. The couple married on New Year's Eve at Los Angeles' Playboy Mansion, an abode formally owned by Playboy Enterprises and not Hefner himself. They had originally planned to wed in June 2011, but split up five days before their nuptials. Hefner allowed her to keep the three-carat diamond engagement ring, with an estimated value of $90,000; Harris auctioned it that October.
This is Harris' first marriage and Hefner's third. He has two children, Christie and David, with Mildred Williams, whom he divorced in 1959, six years after founding Playboy magazine. He subsequently had two sons, Marston and Cooper, with second wife Kimberly Conrad, the 1989 Playmate of the Year.
