England’s Prince Harry and his fiancee, American “Suits” star Meghan Markle, attended a West End production of the transplanted Broadway hit “Hamilton” on Friday.

Actor Leslie Garcia Bowman, who performs in the musical’s ensemble and in the role of U.S. Continental Army Gen. Charles Lee, tweeted Saturday, “Was an honour to have Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in to watch @HamiltonWestEnd last night!” A spokesman for the production, at London’s Victoria Palace Theatre, subsequently confirmed to People magazine that the couple had attended as a “private visit,” providing no further details.

Kensington Palace, the official representative for Prince Harry, 33, has not commented, nor was there mention of the royal visit on the London production’s official website. Markle, 36, deleted her social-media accounts last month. No photos of the couple’s theater date have surfaced online.

Markle already had seen Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Revolutionary War musical in its Broadway incarnation, along with her friend Priyanka Chopra, star of ABC’s “Quantico.” Elle magazine on Sunday posted an archived photo and caption from Markle’s defunct Instagram account showing the two women in midtown Manhattan standing beside a taxi, with Chopra holding a “Hamilton” playbill. “About last night. Thank you to my babe @priyankachopra for the best date night #Hamilton #NYC,” read the caption.

King George III, the British monarch during the time the American colonies won their independence, who is portrayed comically in the musical, is a direct ancestor of Prince Harry.
