Selena Gomez cancels 'Tonight Show' after testing positive for COVID
Selena Gomez canceled her Wednesday night appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" after the actor-singer tested positive for COVID-19.
Gomez made the announcement in an Instagram Story posted Wednesday morning. She was scheduled to appear on the talk show to promote her upcoming Apple TV+ documentary "Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me."
"I'm not going to be on Fallon tonight. I ended up getting covid but am resting and feeling ok," wrote Gomez, 30, next to a photo of herself lying down on a couch, covered in blankets and surrounded by her dogs, Winnie and Daisy.
"A friendly reminder covid is still out there. Get updated on your boosters. I was actually scheduled to get mine this week. Love you all," the "Only Murders in the Building" star wrote on the message. Instagram Stories content automatically cycles out after 24 hours.
"My Mind & Me," directed and produced by Alek Keshishian (1991's "Madonna: Truth or Dare"), will start streaming on Nov. 4. Earlier this week, Gomez announced that the documentary will be accompanied by a new music single, also titled "My Mind & Me," that will drop Nov. 3. The song is her first solo release since her "Revelación" EP last year.
