Lautner set to play
stretchy superhero
"The Twilight Saga" hottie Taylor Lautner will play the title role of "Stretch Armstrong," Universal Pictures confirmed to Access Hollywood this weekend. Lautner, who turns 18 on Thursday, will take on the role of the rubbery hero based on the Hasbro toy. The 3-D film will be released in 2012. "In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role," Universal Pictures co-chairman Donna Langley told Access. "We couldn't be more pleased that he has agreed to be our Stretch."
Shue weds of 'Weekend Today' anchor Robach
Andrew Shue, who formerly starred in "Melrose Place," and "Weekend Today" anchor Amy Robach were married Saturday afternoon in New York City, People.com reports. Shue, 42, and Robach, 37, are recently divorced. The wedding party consisted of Shue's three sons with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney and Robach's two daughters with her ex-husband, Tim McIntosh, according to People.com. The couple, who met last April and got engaged in September, exchanged vows at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers.
Crow lands recurring role
in ABC's 'Cougar Town'
Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Sheryl Crow has scored a role on the ABC comedy "Cougar Town," UsMagazine.com reports. Crow, 47, will play the love interest of Courteney Cox's character's recently divorced neighbor, Grayson, played by Josh Hopkins. Her role will span multiple episodes, though ABC confirmed to UsMagazine.com that the exact number has not been set. Crow most recently appeared on "30 Rock."
