Movie buzz: Grateful for the 'Dead' film
THE MOVIE "The Grateful Dead Movie"
THE DEAL Local theaters next week will hold a one-night screening of this 1977 film, co-directed by Jerry Garcia and Leon Gast ("When We Were Kings"), which captures the band's five-night stand at San Francisco's Winterland Ballroom in October 1974. The film shows drummer Mickey Hart rejoining the band -- permanently, it would turn out -- and features renditions of "U.S. Blues," "Truckin'," "Casey Jones" and "Johnny B. Goode."

WHO Kiefer Sutherland
THE MOVIE "24"
THE DEAL The stealth publicity campaign for the movie version of Fox's action-thriller series continues. Following Sutherland's announcement on ABC's "The View" last month, producer Brian Grazer recently sent out a tweet on his newly established Twitter account: "Got off the phone with Keifer yesterday, and we are very excited about producing the '24' movie for next year." The Emmy-winning show, starring Sutherland as an overworked counterterrorism agent, ended last year.
THE MOVIE "Incendies"

It is in French with English subtitles.
INFO Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Squire Cinemas, 115 Middle Neck Rd., Great Neck. Tickets are $20. 516-829-2570; greatneckarts.org.
