The Paramount show featuring actor Billy Bob Thornton and his roots rock band The Boxmasters schedule for Sept. 6 has been canceled, the Huntington theater announced yesterday due to "unforeseen circumstances," Newsday's Daniel Bubbeo reports.

Refunds on all tickets are available from either Ticketmaster (800-745-3000) or The Paramount box office (631-673-7300).

Thornton, 60, who won a best adapted screenplay Oscar for the 1996 drama "Sling Blade," in which he also starred as a murderer released from a mental hospital, is the vocalist and drummer for The Boxmasters. The five-man group, which was formed in 2007, has released four albums, including "Somewhere Down the Road," which came out in April.
