Manhattan's Beacon Theatre will be the first stop on U2 frontman Bono's book tour for his upcoming memoir "Surrender: 40 Songs, One Story."

"I miss being on stage and the closeness of U2's audience," Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Bono, 62, born Paul Hewson in Dublin, said in a statement. "In these shows I've got some stories to sing, and some songs to tell … Plus I want to have some fun presenting my ME-moir … which is really more of a WE-moir if I think of all the people who helped me get from there to here."

Tickets for the Nov. 2 music and spoken-word event go on sale 10 a.m. Friday at Ticketmaster.com/Bono. Each ticket purchased comes with a copy the Penguin Random House book, set to be released Nov. 1, with a two-ticket limit per person.
