FarmBorough canceled; Jason Aldean, more head to Jones Beach instead
The FarmBorough Festival – a who’s who of country music including headliners Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw and Toby Keith – has been cancelled.
What was to be the second year for New York’s first country festival was set for June 17-19 at Randall’s Island. “All of us at FarmBorough Festival appreciate the support we have received, but conditions dictate that we redirect our energy at this time,” organizers wrote on the festival website. “We appreciate the opportunity you afforded us to present FarmBorough in New York City, and apologize for any inconvenience.”
Passes for the festival went on sale on Jan. 29. Refunds are available through the point of purchase and will begin being processed on Tuesday.
Aldean, Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses, who were all set to play FarmBorough, will now play Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on June 17. Ticketing plans for that individual show have not been announced yet, though it will now be part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket plan, which goes on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. Passes for separate concerts from Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker, Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts are priced between $250 and $650 through megaticket.com.
