Apparently, One Direction likes to plan ahead.

The British boy band, which became the first U.K. act ever to have its debut album arrive at No. 1 in America, announced its 2013 tour today, which includes a stop at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater on June 28, 2013 – 14 months from now.

“Our fans are simply the best in the world,” Niall Horan said in a statement. “The support they have shown us has been incredible and we’re all so grateful to each and every one of them. We can’t wait to see everyone this summer, at Madison Square Garden and, of course, when we play our world tour in 2013.”

The tour announcement follows the sell-outs of the group's upcoming shows at the Izod Center (May 25), Beacon Theatre (May 26) and Madison Square Garden (Dec. 3), which sold out in 10 minutes.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 21 (um, 2012) through Ticketmaster.

Of course, One Direction may be called something else by that time, if the American band One Direction gets its way. The American group, which says it started using the name in 2009, a year before the British group was formed for the British version of “X Factor,” has filed a $1 million suit against the group and its record label, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
