Rebecca Black's "Friday" sales so-so
It turns out that people weren't all that excited about spending money on YouTube sensation Rebecca Black. Despite tons of attention and nearly 40 million views for her video “Friday,” Black sold about 37,000 copies of the AutoTuned song people love to hate last week, landing her at No. 57, according to Nielsen SoundScan figures released Wednesday.
Will her lip-synced performance on “The Tonight Show” Tuesday night help this week's sales? Well, Sunday comes afterwards.
