Report: Lindsay Lohan doing great in rehab
In a battle of the dueling gossip sites, TMZ.com Thursday called "bull" on a RadarOnline.com story Wednesday that Lindsay Lohan had tried to sneak out of the Betty Ford Center to get a Coca-Cola from a vending machine.
Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, told TMZ the report was "absurd and untrue." She said she spoke with Lohan's counselors on Wednesday and no mention was made of the alleged incident, in which the "Mean Girls" star, 24, and a fellow patient were said to have attempted to climb over a fence to reach a soda machine at the nearby Eisenhower Medical Center.
Contrary to the anonymously sourced Radar story, TMZ said, the Betty Ford Center does not prohibit caffeine and there is, in fact, a soda machine in Lohan's ward.
"The counselor gave Lindsay an unqualified, glowing report on her progress," Holley said.
Radar Online declined to comment to Newsday.
Lohan, who voluntarily checked herself into the famous Rancho Mirage, Calif., rehab center on Sept. 28 in her fight against substance abuse, is free on bail for probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI conviction. Her next court hearing is set for Oct. 22.
