"Fringe" -- which I think has earned a "minor classic" label or maybe "major" depending on what or how much we might have had to drink on Friday nights  --  has been renewed for one final season. Seriously, great news -- this is a show with big ideas and while "big ideas" might not be adequately resolved in 13 episodes, at least we'll all learn whether we live in one universe or an infinite number of them.

Per Fox Entertainment boss, Kevin Reilly, via press release: “FRINGE is a remarkably creative series that has set the bar as one of television’s most imaginative dramas. Bringing it back for a final 13 allows us to provide the climactic conclusion that its passionate and loyal fans deserve,” said Reilly “The amazing work the producers, writers and the incredibly talented cast and crew have delivered the last four seasons has literally been out of this world. Although the end is bittersweet, it’s going to be a very exciting final chapter.”
