God bless John Park
“God Bless the Child” was a song that John Park said meant a lot to him. But it was hard to tell from his emotionless performance. There was little connection with the song and he actually sounded flat for most of the performance. He’d better hope young girls find him cute.
Simon said he had “zero emotion” and that you need an incredible voice to do that song, and John didn’t have it. Kara thought the performance was “sleepy” and Randy, sounding like a Philips Milk of Magnesia commercial, said the song made John “feel old and out of sorts.” Ellen said the song wouldn’t get a lot of young girls to pick up the phone (so much for my hopes for John), but she liked the performance.
