Haley Reinhart is up first as "American Idol" cuts to five. Ryan Seacrest claims they're being called up randomly. If so, let's see if the bottom three is decided before we're down to the last two.

Haley should be in the bottom three. And she is safe. Whoa. So somebody who doesn't deserve as much to be in the bottom three -- probably Lauren Alaina -- will be....

Scotty McCreery is up next. He's obviously safe. They tell him to sit down for now, to build fake tension.

Lauren Alaina is up next. She's obviously in the bottom three then. They send her back to wait a bit longer, too. This is getting weird. Ryan's trying to balance it so we don't have obvious people left who are gonna get eliminated.

Casey Abrams gets called up. He's definitely in the bottom three. They tell him to go sit down.

Ryan tells us "there's a lot of uncertainty in the studio right now." Well, sure, if you call people up and then don't tell them what's going on, that creates uncertainty.

NFL draft's on right now . . . wonder how many people are clicking over and saying enough with this drip.

After the break, James Durbin gets called up, and he, of course, is safe.

Jacob Lusk comes up last. He's gotta be in the bottom three, right?

Casey, Lauren and Scotty come up. Wow, Lauren's safe. Hmmm....
