Lauren Alaina is singing "Where You Live" next on "American Idol." Mentor Babyface pushes her to go for the big notes -- and then Miley Cyrus randomly joins in.

Lauren has on a great outfit, a single-shouldered dress in muted rainbow colors. She's really bringing out the country. She's blossomed the last few weeks (or just gone back to being great) but this song is doing nothing for me. It's not a great song and her performance seems like the same old thing to me.

She brings some random guy out of the crowd to sit on stage, then walks away from him for a while and leaves him just sitting there.

"I'm so proud of you," says Jennifer Lopez, since she thought Lauren was trying to break out. Well, she was only OK . . . Randy Jackson thought there was a little "extra swagger" -- but "don't know if I love the song, a little bit safe and boring."

Steven Tyler, like J.Lo, liked when her voice broke during the song. Great, now they're praising them for not being able to hit the notes.
