Lohan on 'Tonight,' gets standing O!?

Proving indisputably that  "Tonight Show" audience members are seriously, seriously moronic, various reports this morning say that Lindsay Lohan's appearance on the show yesterday prompted a standing ovation. 

A standing ovation! 

For what? Did Jay promise them free tickets to "Hangover 2" and 3 when it comes out, too?

Did a huge sign flash, "stand up for Lindsay or you will be ejected from studio forever...?" 

 Did Jay staff the audience with ex-felons?

Did a sign at the door say, "people accused of jewelry heists - who get only a misdemeanor -- welcome?"

What could have possibly prompted a standing ovation -- other than the fact that the audience was comprised completely of idiots? 

I'm at a loss. Any guidance would be helpful.

Her appearance is tonight. Get ready to stand and cheer.
