'The Great Santini Brothers' reality show makes moves on History
They're all New York City-area moving and storage companies -- A. Santini, U. Santini, V. Santini, Santini Office Movers. How to stand out among the same-gig glut?
Try a TV reality show. That's what M.P. Santini Brothers does Sunday at 10 p.m. as History premieres "The Great Santini Brothers." (The title plays off Robert Duvall's 1979 movie "The Great Santini.") Despite facilities in Islip and Lindenhurst, the Santinis' tube time is more focused on NYC action.
And it isn't just about the transport of snakes or suits of armor. There's also the family drama of brothers George and Joe Sr., said to be ready to turn over the business to their respective sons Nick and Joe Jr. But the boys have to prove they can "do the doin' " demanded by George (second-youngest among his 12 siblings, older only than partner Joe). Seems Nick can buckle down, but Joe Jr. is all about fun.
