The restaurant's name, B.L.D.'s, is an acronym for "Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner," the three meals this family-friendly place serves daily. Located just a scone's throw from the Long Island Expressway, B.L.D.'s is a handy eatery to know about.
At breakfast, the crepe-style pancakes are thin and tender, not something you'll find everywhere. The morning selections (available all day) run the gamut from Belgian waffles to cheese blintzes to a variey of omelets to the house specialty, pumpkin pancakes.
For lunch, a wide range of sandwiches and wraps are up for grabs. There are also imaginative salads (a fajita salad, for one thing), as well as several burger options, which include beef, turkey and veggie versions.
Those with a serious dinner appetite can opt for garlic-roasted breast of duck, meat loaf, pot roast as well as country fried steak.
Three squares - present and accounted for.
