Ralph Perrazzo, chef owner of BBD’s Beers Burgers Desserts in Rocky Point, has recruited a group of high-power chef pals for a craft beer dinner at his restaurant, to be held Wednesday, March 12. The nine-chef, nine-beer seven-course dinner is also a fundraiser for Live Like Susie, a scholarship fund for Rocky Point High School graduating seniors.

Along with Perrazzo, the kitchen crew will include Matt Birnstill, executive chef of The Quogue Club, Joseph Realmuto, executive chef of the Honest Man Company (which encompasses, among other restaurants Nick & Toni’s and Rowdy Hall in East Hampton), Sue Torres (chef-owner of Suenos in Manhattan), Darren Carbone, executive chef at Tierra at The Old Town Hall in Westport, Steve Gallagher, chef-owner of The Trattoria in St. James, Kevin Penner, chef de cuisine at North Fork Table & Inn in Southold, Chris Broberg, a pastry chef who was at Lespinasse in Manhattan, and Joe Murphy, pastry chef at Jean-Georges in Manhattan. Participating Long Island and New York State breweries include Port Jeff Brewing Company, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, Rocky Point Artisan Brewers, Crooked Ladder Brewing Company in Riverhead, Blue Point Brewing Company in Patchogue, Montauk Brewing Co., Captain Lawrence Brewing Company in Elmsford, Sixpoint Brewery in Brooklyn and Brewery Ommegang in Cooperstown.
