Closed: Cafe Aioli in Glen Cove

Sometimes, you have to wonder if a site is jinxed. Good food and gracious service didn’t save Café Aioli, an eclectic Glen Cove restaurant, from the fate that befell its worthy predecessors, Due Pazzi (Italian) and La Caravana (Peruvian).
The place didn’t last a year. What a shame, for owner Segundo Guillcatanda was a truly gracious host. Dishes fondly remembered include tender baby octopus, sauteed and served over a potato, string bean and frisee salad, and a perfect roast chicken with tarragon sauce.
