Long Island has lost another old school Chinese restaurant. Tim Sing in Farmingville is no more.
The place, which opened in 2005, seemed from another era. An excerpt from the Newsday review read, "Tim Sing serves the kind of Chinese food you may remember from your youth, whether you grew up during the heyday of spareribs and fried rice or during the chile-fired age of General Tso."
Fondly remembered: sweet corn soup with crab and chicken, barbecued spareribs, shredded beef with spicy garlic sauce.
