Ichiz in Huntington: First bites

Fueled with high-end sake and updated sushi, Ichiz is the newest, sleekest spot in downtown Huntington.
Cool in style, warm in approach, it already has a niche on Main Street as a sake bar and lounge. And the kitchen sends out some very good food, too.
Ichiz is run by the team that operated Sushi-Ichi in East Setauket. But here the approach is a little more eclectic: a fine east-west bruschetta of tuna with avocado and tomato; filet mignon sliders with wasabi mayo; spicy tuna on a toasted tortilla; steamed bass with ginger, soy and pesto.
They're all savory small plates, to go with an extensive and well-chosen list of sakes, plus wines, beers and martinis.
Nibble and sip and enjoy yourself.
