Jacques Pepin coming to Great Neck for charity event
Legendary chef Jacques Pepin will be screening his upcoming PBS film, “American Masters: Jacques Pepin — The Art of Craft,” on May 4 in Great Neck.
The evening, hosted by the Gold Coast Arts Center and Gold Coast International Film Festival, starts at 6:30 p.m. with a tasting of Pepin’s most famous dishes at LOLA in Great Neck, prepared by the restaurant’s executive chef, Michael Ginor. Wine and spirits will also be available for ticket holders, who can purchase a range of theater packages, from $55 to $150.
At 8:15, audience members will be ushered into the Great Neck Squire Theater next door, with a Q&A to follow the movie screening.
The PBS series, which features one episode on Pepin, also features episodes on food luminaries James Beard, Julia Child and Alice Waters.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Arts-in-Education Outreach Programs of the Gold Coast Arts Center and the Young Filmmakers Program of the Gold Coast International Film Festival.
