
New sushi restaurants make for 5 solid options in East Northport

Manhasset has the Miracle Mile, Freeport the Nautical Mile; now, East Northport presents the Sushi Roll Mile. With the debut of two new Asian restaurants, there are now five sushi houses strung along Jericho Turnpike between Elwood and Larkfield roads.
Here’s the lineup as you drive west to east:
MIO SUSHI & STEAKHOUSE (New)
Along with sushi bar standards, this sleek new sushi-hibachi restaurant features such items as live scallop, lobster and geoduck sashimi. There’s also a roster of skewered grilled items, hibachi dishes and pan-Asian choices.

WILD GINGER
Along with Thai red curry and Vietnamese summer rolls, this pan-Asian chain also features a full sushi bar menu.

Next to Barnes & Noble is this cavernous contemporary sushi/hibachi spot. Instead of a printed menu, you’ll be handed an iPad. Choices range from maki rolls to chirashi, sashimi, sushi, as well as teriyaki and hibachi dishes.
